Yorkshire Fly Fishing on the River Wharfe

Fly Fishing in Yorkshire on the River Wharfe..

Staying at the fantastic Red Lion hotel, right on the bank of the River Wharfe.. Check out the video to see what we got up to..

Martin, Howard and Norman, take to the river on their third, annual fishing trip, having a change from the River Test in Hampshire, and headed closer to home over in the Yorkshire Dales..

The Red Lion Hotel was a great place to stay, you get your day ticket from the reception for £35, a real bargain considering how much river you get to fish..

Its endless, theres so much river to go at, you’ll need a week to cover it all..

Its the first time i’ve done any Yorkshire Fly Fishing, and have to say, i will return very soon..

We caught plenty of brown trout on Klinks, nymphs and dry flies, with most of my fish caught on a light bodied klink hammer..

Fly Fishing in Yorkshire is well recommended, and so is the Red Lion..

We hired a cottage for the night, very comfortable and everything you’ll need for a good nights sleep before heading back down the river..

The food was great for evening meal, and the breakfast was first class..
